About Reversi Othello Classic vs AI

Reversi (also known as Othello) is the timeless two-player strategy game with the famous adage: "A minute to learn, a lifetime to master." Trap and flip opponent discs horizontally, vertically, and diagonally on an 8x8 green felt board to claim the majority of pieces by endgame.

Multi-Directional Flips: Trap opponent pieces between your existing discs to flip entire rows and diagonals.
Strategic Corner Anchors: Corner squares can never be flipped back, serving as permanent fortress bases.

How to Play

1 Black moves first. Tap any highlighted green circle to place a disc.
2 Every move must flank and flip at least one opposing white disc.
3 If a player has no legal moves, their turn is automatically passed.
4 The game ends when the board is full or neither player can move. Most discs wins!

Tips & Tricks

โœ“ Seize the Corners: The 4 corner squares (A1, A8, H1, H8) can never be outflankedโ€”prioritize them!
โœ“ Avoid Danger Squares: Don't place discs adjacent to empty corners (B2, B7, G2, G7) as this gives your opponent the corner.
โœ“ Minimize Early Flips: In early game, flipping fewer discs gives you greater mobility and restricts opponent options.
โœ“ Edge Defense: Build stable perimeter walls along the outer borders to anchor your discs.
